A New Day for Quai d’Orsay

The Quai d’Orsay brand, forty-five years after its original launch,  has been renewed by Habanos SA with two new sizes as well as new bands and packaging being announced. The first of the two new sizes, the No.50, is now available in the UK at Havana Cigar Specialists and some hotels, restaurants, bars and private clubs.

Quai d’Orsay was established in 1973 and originally aimed at the French market. It was named after an avenue in Paris that once house the headquarters of SEITA, the former French tobacco monopoly. As the name suggests, the brand was originally aimed at the French market and much of its Parisian charm has remained in place after the relaunch.

Until now the only size from the brand available in the UK was the Coronas Claro. This will continue to be available but has now been joined by the No.50 (4 3/8” 110mm x 50 ring gauge), with the No.54 ( 5 3/8″ 135mm x 54 ring gauge) to follow.

The Quai d’Orsay No.50 is the same vitola as the Partagas Serie D No.5 and offers smokers a lighter alternative in a popular size. Classified as light flavoured by Habanos S.A the Quai d’Orsay brand is an accessible,  easy smoking and refined brand that now has a well-deserved moment in the spot light.
