What do you enjoy most about working with cigars?
First of all my working environment and my guests. Recommending a cigar to someone who is about to discover this unique world is challenging and also satisfying especially when she or he comes back for another one. And because of the fact that we Cigar Aficionados are willing to share passion, stories and cigars of course.
What first interested you in cigars?
It was in 2010 when I first discovered our Humidor in Bourdon House. That time I was working in the Private Members Club of the same company. About two weeks after I had started one of my colleagues was introducing me the facilities of Bourdon House as part of the induction, including the Humidor. I stepped in and inhaled the smell of Cuba. It was love at first sight.
Do you remember your first cigar?
My first cigar was a fabulous H. Upmann Magnum 50 Limited Edition. It was a present in 2009 from my friend. Perfect first experience.
What is the best piece of advice you have for someone just starting to smoke cigars?
Be gentle to you cigar and let its smoke play around your tasting buds. Sometimes it is not that easy to light up your next cigar especially after a bad experience but worth it.
What are your favorite three cigars?
H. Upmann Magnum 50 Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill Partagas Lusitania Gran Reserva
Has becoming a Master in Havana Cigars helped you in your profession?
Very much indeed. I have been working with cigars for only two years before I passed my exam. Now I am being even more confident when recommending cigars or talking with people about it. Not to mention that I am proudly wearing my badge that inspires me every day.
