What do you enjoy most about working with cigars?
I think I enjoy the most meeting many different and interesting people, who almost universally have one thing in common, they are gentlemen.
What first interested you in cigars?
The most interesting thing must be the heart, effort and time which is put in the creation of each and every Habanos cigar. Over 500 manual tasks, done by hard working Cuban workers, at many different stages of growing and production, using methods that haven't changed for centuries. All this gives a soul to Cuban cigars and make smoking a journey and unforgettable experience.
Do you remember your first cigar?
Cohiba Siglo IV.
What is the best piece of advice you have for someone just starting to smoke cigars?
Start with lighter cigar brands rather than full body ones, but also pick the time, place and company so you maximize your experience.
What are your favorite three cigars?
Partagas Lusitania Gran Reserva Cohiba Robusto Supremos Trinidad Robusto Extra
Has becoming a Master in Havana Cigars helped you in your profession?
It's helping me every day at work.
